Portable Foldable Washing Machine Review

The Portable Foldable Washing Machine is one of my best purchases for the year. It’s small, cheap and gets the job done. It has its limitations but it fits our need well.

We never had a washing machine since it takes too much space inside a condo. But after seeing a portable and foldable washing machine online, it immediately appealed to me. I need one!

The main questions now is how many clothes can fit in one wash cycle and if it can clean the clothes well. This is probably your question, as well.

Laundry Capacity

According to the manual, the portable foldable washing machine can handle 1.8L of load. That’s a small capacity. So this is not good for a once-a-week laundry. But I found it to be useful for a quick wash of my running shirts and shorts. I could just throw them in after a run and let the washing machine clean them up.

It can fit about 6 adult shirts all together. Or 2 running shirts, 2 running shorts and 2 pair of socks. I tried 3 sets of my running gears and the portable washing machine had a hard time. Two sets of clean running apparel every week isn’t bad at all.

I haven’t tried putting in maong jeans. I don’t think it can handle it well. Of course, beddings and towels are out of the question, too.

The portable foldable washing machine is great for Gab’s everyday shirt and shorts. We can load up to 4 sets of kid sized shirts, shorts and socks.

Clean Cycle

The portable foldable washing machine has only one wash cycle setting. No fancy options for different types of fabrics or delicates. Just set it to it’s maximum of 15 minutes and wait for it to finish.

For my running stuff, I only need them to smell good after the laundry. I don’t expect stubborn stains that needs to be removed by the machine. As long as the smell and sweat is gone, I am OK with this portable washing machine. For tough dirt and stains, we’d rather send them to a laundry shop. Support local. 😀

The washing machine has a small spout on the side to drain the water out. It is very small and will take time just to drain the water. So the best way to drain is to carry it over and pour out the water. This requires heavy lifting since there is water inside the machine already. Consider it a lifting exercise instead.

Space Saver

The folding feature is my favorite. It can easily collapse it to a very small block of rubber… or plastic. It is light and easy to carry. I never thought I can keep a washing machine under my chair, but now I can.

Although folding it often may degrade the rubber after some time. If you have extra space, I suggest keeping it unfolded to extend its life.

Summary

The portable foldable washing machine is great for small spaces. If you are staying in a condo, then it’s a real space saver. It is also great for those in dormitories or renting a bed space. It will work well for infant clothes too. It can’t remove tough stains or clean heavy fabric like towels and jeans. But it is useful for everyday wear and delicates.
